We’ve been involved in road transport with Large Goods Vehicles (formerly know as Heavy Goods Vehicles) since the 1960’s and HIAB type cranes since 1975.

The modern pressures on road transport such as Environmental considerations, Congestion Zone, Low Emission Zone (LEZ) and ALG London routing for heavy trucks mean that hauliers have to stay bang up to date with legislation and vehicles to stay effective. We at Southdown Engineers Ltd take these responsibilities very seriously.

Where special requirements such as security clearances or bespoke client training is required we have a flexible and forward thinking approach that makes us the ideal choice for complex and sensitive moves. Complete production centres and factories have been moved and re sited with minimum fuss. Our drivers and operators are fully conversant with their equipment. LOLER test certification, Operators Licences and Insurance details are available on request.
