In a programme of security upgrades a client had a series of sites whose vehicle access security was handled by automated or manned barriers. This is due unfortunately, to a world full of hostile actors, which as the headlines will show, have taken to the wheel of LGV’s and SUV’s to perpetrate their heinous acts.
In order to counter this threat, all properly secure sites have moved from raise and lower barrier set ups to the much more effective hydraulic anti-ram Road Blocker’s.
Invariably, the zone at the entrances/exits of compounds and facilities they are installed in are busy thoroughfares, often handling heavy vehicles and involve some hefty excavations, more than 1.50 m across in many cases. These accesses can only be closed for short periods and only for when absolutely necessary. So when the excavations and services required to enable them are being installed, it’s usually done at quiet times such as nights or weekends and they must remain open all other times. This is also true even when the hardware has already been fitted but the concrete needs protecting because it is curing.
Coming in lengths from between 2 and 5 metres and often having to fit into spaces between existing kerbs, bollards and other street furniture, our SERIES 38 plates with various incremental widths that can be used in configurations to make literally thousands of different combinations.
