Sediment Tanks – Waste Water Treatment Works – Kent
Sectors:
Using: 7.5m x 3m x 25mm – Steel C/W SALLY
An area within a WWTW previously used as a sediment tank required some extensive civil work. One troublesome feature was the open top of the tank that was adjacent to where men would be working. Options such as fencing off or surrounding with concrete blocks were considered, but they were judged to be insufficiently resilient, or meant that any barriers installed would themselves encroach even further on a site with already limited space.
We suggested 2 pieces 7.5m x 3m x 25mm – Steel C/W SALLY.
They loved them, as not only did they mitigate the hazard in terms of the open excavation, it actually gave the engineers an area that could if need be from time to time traffic with materials, vans and small plant items.
