Security and Compliance

FORS Compliance

The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) is an accreditation scheme. Recognised and required by responsible contractors, it aims to improve fleet activity throughout London, the UK and beyond with a raft of vehicle improvements, measures, mitigations and training modules to improve safety and efficiency. Members who achieve the standard, take this with them throughout their national operations, thus raising the bar well beyond the capital.

Going forward, other major towns and cities are likely to incorporate FORS into their road transport plans.

Our entire operation including staff training, processes, insurance, regulatory compliance, environmental management and vehicle maintenance and selection are audited regularly by independent assessors. This means that customers, employees and stakeholder bodies alike can be assured they will be dealing with a professional organisation.

After being in the vanguard at 619th to sign up in a list of now over 4,000 members, we have built on this achievement and obtained the coveted SILVER in 2016.

CLOCS

Between 2008 and 2013, 55 per cent of cyclist fatalities in London involved a heavy goods vehicle. A disproportionate number of these were construction vehicles. In 2012 Transport for London commissioned an independent review of the construction sector’s transport activities to understand the causes of these collisions and how they might be prevented.

The resulting ‘Construction Logistics and Cyclist Safety’ (CLOCS) report was published in February 2013 by Transport Research Laboratory. Based on the findings of that report and along with our many partners in the FORS scheme, our drivers receive high levels of training to CLOCS and SUD’s (Safe Urban Driving) standards.

Low Emission Zone (LEZ)

As of 2012, the emissions requirements for goods vehicles entering London were improved beyond the standard of the the UK generally. Since then they have been adjusted further, meaning that our fleet are some of the cleanest running trucks in the world today.

Security Clearance

Having worked in an around some extremely sensitive areas from nuclear power plants, airports, F1 development areas and MoD sites we are very aware of the necessity for drivers and operators to be Grade A1 for security purposes. We have a hand picked team of trustworthy and professional drivers, with the levels of experience and training you would expect from a first class operation. All of our staff have their licences checked at least twice a year and carry photo I.D at all times.

If your job site operates augmented security we can coordinate with you for specific driver and vehicle details. Information will exchanged in a secure, discreet and professional manner.
