Typical applications

For use on streets and highways and the recommended standard thickness for construction sites.
Assuming stable ground conditions and when positioned with the long side of the plate bridging the void, to traverse excavations up to 800 mm wide for highway traffic
Assuming stable ground conditions and when positioned with the long side of the plate bridging the void, to cover trench up to 400 mm wide for trucks, medium construction plant and medium forklifts
Also used for covering hardened areas (block paved, tarmac and non reinforced concrete) for heavier traffic such as trucks, cranes and machinery
Not suitable for traversing with steel tracked vehicles, as their tracks will cause damage to the anti-skid surface if applied directly. (See our bare steel range).
As with all roadplates/crossing plates, the loadings for whatever passes over them will be transferred to the areas bearing the edges of the plate. Adequate measures to shore the underlying excavations should be taken
